Research & Verification
Information on Class50.info has been compiled from a wide range of sources, including contemporary railway publications, society records, books, dated photographs and locomotive working records.
Where possible, information is cross-checked against more than one source. Where an exact date cannot be confirmed, this is indicated rather than presented as established fact.
A separate source register is maintained recording the evidence used to verify historical dates and information. If you would like the source or verification for a particular date or entry, please get in touch and I will be happy to provide the information available.
