Damage / Accidents
 
06.08.1989 50025 Invincible was heading at high speed with the 21:15 Oxford to Paddington service when it struck a section of rail deliberately laid across the track by vandals. It derailed and travelled for half a mile, ripping up track before turning on its side. There were no fatalities or serious injuries. 50025 was written off.
